This intricate mosaic design is inspired by the zellige tilework of Morocco, known for its geometric patterns, intricate symmetry, and vibrant colors. Traditionally handcrafted from individually cut tiles, Moroccan mosaics create a rich interplay of shape, color, and light, reflecting centuries of North African artistry and craftsmanship. Through a Persian lens, the design also reflects my appreciation for the rich geometric traditions found across the Middle East and North Africa, where symmetry, repetition, and intricate patterns have long been an important part of architectural art.
